About Us

Compass Collective is a retained search firm serving mission-driven organizations. The firm was started by Josh and Jennette Bratzler and the team behind Revenue Factory, who saw a better way to recruit and evaluate people for product, software, and growth marketing roles.

Meet the team

Josh Bratzler, Search Lead

Before Compass Collective, Josh was a top-producing recruiter focused on product and software development roles. Most of his clients were early-stage and high-growth companies striving to deliver new customer value through innovative software products. Some of these high-growth companies are now leading B2B and B2C online brands. A minority of Josh’s clients were larger companies (e.g. Fortune 500) pursuing digital transformation.

Josh first became a recruiter to make others’ work as fulfilling as possible because most people spend more waking time working than they do on anything else. Over time, he realized how satisfying it was to contribute to the growth and success of client teams. Over the years, he also discovered that his favorite clients were on a mission to elevate human flourishing for customers and employees.

Josh also recognized that recruiting needed to be reinvented. He started dreaming about creating a firm that would replace the industry’s transactional nature and superficial searches with a more reliable model that was better for clients and candidates.

Jennette Bratzler, Operations

Before Compass Collective, Jennette was the National Vice President of a wellness brand focused on physical health. In this role, she recruited, trained, and managed salespeople in the Western United States. She was named recruiter of the year for two years and president’s club (top 1%) for seven years. Jennette’s teams achieved phenomenal performance because of her passion for identifying people’s gifts and coaching them to fulfill their potential and aspirations.

Before Jennette found her professional passion for mission-driven businesses, she worked in client relations and finance for two Fortune 500 companies.

Anna Schmunk,

Prior, Anna worked at Amazon, where her new product delivered a 5x improvement in labor planning for the company’s same-day delivery businesses.

Previously, Anna was Head of Product for a $150 million business, leading a team of product managers. Beforehand, she was a digital product manager for seven years.

Hence, team members have clear guidance on growing their careers.

Jonathan is passionate about excellent software architecture, supporting thriving digital product businesses, and growing healthy teams that can ship value fast and are fun to work in.

Kevon Saber, Growth Marketing Practice Lead

Before Compass Collective, Kevon re-started GoCheck Kids as its CEO because vision impairment is the most common reason children don’t learn more and eventually achieve more educationally and financially. During his tenure, the company achieved these milestones:

  • The customer base grew to 6,500 pediatric care teams that screened millions of children and detected hundreds of thousands of risk factors

  • The product was voted the #1 health technology at HIMSS’ Connected Health and #1 health innovation at SXSW

  • The business valuation grew by more than 100x

GoCheck’s investors include Interwest Partners (>95 IPOs), Sovereign's Capital, and Marc Benioff (Founder/CEO of Salesforce.com).

The team Kevon recruited was at the root of all these milestones. Kevon is passionate about elevating human flourishing through business for customers and teammates, including setting people up to win through more holistic and robust placement.

He also co-founded and grew GenPlay Games, a leading mobile games developer that generated over $70 million in sales with #1 professional athletes Maria Sharapova and Tracy McGrady and retro brands such as PAC-MAN, Galaga, and Qbert. Kevon engineered GenPlay’s recruiting machine.

Kevon was named to Silicon Valley Business Journal's 40 under 40 list. His work has been featured in Bloomberg Businessweek, Entrepreneur Magazine, Inc. Magazine, Mashable, LifeHacker, and Modern Health, and on various ABC, CBS, and FOX TV shows. Kevon has also contributed to Forbes, Fast Company, and VentureBeat.

He received his MBA from Stanford University.
